






UNPLUGD is a digital disconnection and presence-management platform that allows enrolled users to enable service-related SMS features, including account notifications, verification messages, and user-enabled automated away messages.
How UNPLUGD Users Opt In
UNPLUGD users opt in to SMS features during account signup and onboarding by:
• providing their mobile number
• agreeing to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy
• separately enabling SMS messaging features within the UNPLUGD app, including the SMS auto-reply feature
By providing a mobile number and enabling applicable messaging features, users consent to receive service-related SMS messages from UNPLUGD.
How Automated Away Messages Work
When an enrolled UNPLUGD user has the SMS auto-reply feature enabled, and another person initiates contact by sending the first SMS message to that user, UNPLUGD may send a single automated, non-marketing response on that user’s behalf indicating that the user is currently unavailable and displaying the user’s selected away message.
These messages are transactional, user-enabled, and triggered only by inbound SMS from the sender. They are not used for marketing, lead generation, or promotional purposes.
